Select Measurement Objects
Click this button to select existing measurement objects on an image. You can edit and delete selected measurement objects or save them in a parameter set.
The standard MS-Windows conventions for multiple selection apply for the selection of objects.

Load Measurements and ROIs
Save Measurements and ROIs
You can save measurements and ROIs in a parameter set and load them on a different image.

Origin
Click this button to redefine the origin of the coordinate system for the active image.

Point
Use this measurement function to define the exact position of individual pixels.

Arbitrary Line
Horizontal Line
Vertical Line
Use these measurement function to measure the linear distance between two points on an image.

Perpendicular Line
Use this measurement function to measure the distance between a measurement point and an axis on an image.
You first define the axis, then the measurement point.

Circle to Circle
Use these measurement function to measure the distance between two circles.
Define both circles by three points on the circle perimeter. The distance between then centers of the two circles is measured.

Polyline
Freehand Polyline
Use these measurement function to measure the linear distance between two points on an image.
You can either determine the course of the line through single control points or you can draw the line with the left mouse button pressed.
Click the right mouse button to finish the definition of a line.

3 Point Angle
4 Point Angle
Use these measurement function to measure an angle on an image.
If you want to measure the length of the legs in addition to the angle, use the Angle Ruler measurement function.

Rectangle
Rotated Rectangle
Use these measurement function to measure the area and perimeter of a rectangle on an image.

3 Point Circle
2 Point Circle
Rotated Ellipse
Use these measurement function to measure the area and perimeter of a circle or an ellipse on an image.
You can either define the circle using 2 points on the perimeter of the circle (3 Point Circle) or by using the center and the radius (2 Point Circle).

Closed Polygon
Interpolated Polygon
Freehand Polygon
Use these measurement functions to measure the area and the perimeter of an arbitrarily formed two dimensional image object.
You define the individual points on the edge of the object. Rightclick to finish the measurement.
Using the Freehand Polygon measurement function, you can draw the object while keeping the left mouse button depressed.

Magic Wand
Use the magic wand to measure the area and the perimeter of an arbitrarily formed two dimensional image object.

Snap to bright
Snap to dark
Click this this button to snap a measurement object to the nearest brightest or darkest pixel.

Find Center
Click this button to determine the image's center of symmetry.

Delete Measurement Object
Click this button to delete all measurement objects that are currently selected on the image.

Export to Excel
Click this button to export the measured values to an MS-Excel sheet or to a text file.

Select Measurements
Click this button to select the measurement parameters that are to be displayed in the results sheet.

Measurement and ROI Options
Click this button to specify settings for the interactive measurements.
