Origin

Click the Origin button to redefine the origin of the coordinate system for the active image. All values already measured will be automatically adapted to the new origin. You can find this button on the Measurement toolbar.

By default, the origin of the coordinate system can be found in the upper left corner of the image. The coordinate origin is indicated by a red coordinate system in the image.

As soon as you have defined a new origin, the Origin entry will appear in the Measurement tool window. The measurement parameters Point X and Point Y show the origin's position. The benchmark is the image's top left-hand corner.

Shifting the origin

You can move the origin on the image with your mouse. To do so, click the Select Measurement Objects button. You can find this button either in the Measurement tool window or on the Measurement toobar. With the left mouse button depressed, drag the origin to the position you want it to be. All of the measurement values on display will be automatically updated.
