bb_create_sheet Export to Excel

Use the Export to Excel... command to output the values you've measured in an MS-Excel sheet. You will find the command, e.g., in the Measure menu, or as a button on the Measurement toolbar.

This command opens the standard dialog box for loading and saving documents.

Description of dialog box

Select the drive and directory in which you want to save this document in the Save in list.

Enter the name of the measurement sheet in the File name field.

Click the Save button to have the measurement values saved in the file format you've chosen. The measurement results will be exported as they are displayed in the Measurement tool window when you use the Export to Excel command. That applies to the sorting of the measurement values and the measurement parameters displayed.

In the File type list several possibilities are available.

Exporting as MS-Excel sheet

Select the Excel-Sheet (*.xls) file type to have the measurement values exported to an MS-Excel sheet.

Please note that an MS-Excel sheet cannot be loaded by your software.

If MS-Excel is installed on your computer, you can have the exported results sheet opened automatically in MS-Excel. To do so, select the Automatically open associated program after an export to XLS or TXT check box. You will find this check box in the Tools > Options > Environment > General dialog box.

Exporting as text file

Select the Text (*.txt) file type to have the measurement values written in a text file. The measurement values in a row will be separated by the ";" character in the process. You can load and edit a text file with every text editor. Please note that your software doesn't support any text documents.
