Find center of symmetry

Use the Find Center function to find the center of symmetry on FT images or in Diffraction mode. You can find the command as a button on the Measurement toolbar.

Click the Find Center button to mark the image's center of symmetry with a red coordinate cross .

The button is unavailable when the center of the image has already been found and marked with a coordinate cross.

When the Snap to bright or Snap to dark function is activated, all of the subsequent measurements are positioned on the center. When you add a measurement object, the first measurement point is automatically positioned on the image's center of symmetry.

If required, you can shift the center of symmetry manually within the image to correct its positioning. To do so, click the Select Measurement Objects button. Drag the coordinate cross to the position you want.
