XAROSA — The next level of EM imaging: EMSIS' new 20 megapixel CMOS camera with exceptional speed
EMSIS is glad to present the next model in its successful line of well- known and well accepted bottom mount high resolution cameras: the CMOS based 20 MP XAROSA TEM camera, representing the current end-of-line of bottom mount high end TEM cameras by EMSIS.
The XAROSA camera comes with a fiber optical taper resulting in a large effective pixel size of nearly 13 x 13 µm². The CMOS sensor provides a mere number of 5,120 x 3,840 pixels, resulting in a field of view of almost 66 x 50 mm².
EMSIS combines new CMOS sensor technology with a sophisticated electronics and the lightning fast Thunderbolt™ data interface, thus enabling extremely high speed single port read-outs: as fast as 30 frames per second (fps) in full 20 megapixel resolution and 120 fps in binning 4x.
These frame rates, together with the live features of RADIUS 2.0 - video recording, smart averaging, drift correction, HDR imaging - open up new capabilities in TEM in-situ observations of dynamic events and allow the operator to find sample areas of interest quickly and efficiently without any restrictions. The almost blooming immunity of the CMOS sensor makes it the perfect choice for recording electron diffraction patterns.
