With the help of the Annotations tool window you can add a comment to an image and save the image window's settings together with the image. Use the View > Tool Windows > Annotations command to have the tool window displayed. What are the different types of Annotations?1.Positions •You can mark and name interesting positions in the image. A position will be identified by a flag and remains shown at every magnification of the image in the image window. You can find more information on flags here. 2.Text and audio comments •You can give each position a text or audio annotation. You can find more information on text annotations here. You can find more information on audio annotations here. 3.Views 4.You can also save an image's zoom factor and the image segment that is on display in the image window. You save this data in a "View ". First set up a view, then mark positions on the selected image segment. The advantage of doing that is that, when you jump to a position, you will also immediately switch to the magnification at which the view was set up. You can find more information on views here. Where will the annotations be saved? All positions and annotations will be saved together with the image, if you save it in the TIF or VSI format.
