View

What is a view?

With modern cameras, you will be able to acquire images that can't be completely shown on your monitor in their full resolution. A view is a chosen image section that you can have displayed at any time with one click. What is special here is that the defined zoom factor is also saved with the views.

Let us assume that you have discovered an interesting detail whilst examining an image. You can set up a new view for this position and then save it. In this way you can find the detail again any time and you do not need to increase the zoom factor manually so as to be able to recognize the detail properly.

Positions within views

You can set markers within a view to attract attention to particular details in the image. To do this, go to the Annotations tool window and click the Set Marker bb_SetMarker button. These markers will be listed in the Annotations tool window's tree view, under the corresponding view.

Note: Markers will always be defined for the complete image. For this reason all of the markers that have been defined for a view and are shown in the Annotations tool window's tree view, can also be found in the Entire Image branch.
