Setting the appearance of an image series

Your software makes it possible for you to save an image series, e.g., a time stack, as an AVI video. In the process, a number of settings for the image series' appearance will be automatically adopted. You should therefore always check the image series' appearance before you save it as an AVI video file.

Scale bar and info stamp

You can have a great deal of information about the current image displayed in the image window. That applies to the scale bar and certain supplementary information, such as, e.g., a time stamp for time stacks.

Before you save the image as an AVI video, display the information that you want to adopt in the AVI video.

The AVI video comprises all of the additional information that was on display on your monitor when you save the AVI video. This means that a scale bar will only be adopted in the AVI video when it is on display at that time.

Note: Check its appearance with a 100% zoom factor. Because, only the information that can be displayed in the image with a 100% zoom factor will be adopted in the AVI video. Click here to read how you can enlarge or reduce the size of an image in the image window.

Drawing and measurement objects

When you save the image series as an AVI video, all of the drawing and measurement objects will automatically be burned into the image. Then they become an integral part of the image and will be adopted in the AVI video. Detailed instructions on burning in information can be found here.

You can also hide drawing and measurement objects before saving the time stack as AVI video. In this case the drawing and measurement objects are not considered in the AVI video.

To do so, use the Layers tool window. You can find a description of this tool window here.
