This preview will be updated as soon as you change the current name. Note: The directory which you define here in the Customize Subdirectory Name dialog box, is a subdirectory to the directory which was defined in the Acquisition Settings > Saving dialog box as the destination for all acquired images. StandardYou can restore the default settings at any time. To do this, click the Default button. Properties / SelectionYour software supplies you with a number of placeholders that you can use in directory names. The Properties list contains all of the placeholders and texts that are available. You can find a description of the placeholders here. Placeholders are identified by angle brackets there. In the actual directory name, placeholders will be replaced by special values, e.g., the <Date> placeholder stands for the current date. Texts, however, are fixed and will also be used in directory names just as they have been defined. The Selection column contains placeholders and texts that will actually be used in directory names. You can use some placeholders more than once. For example, the <Separator> placeholder will normally be used several times, to separate the individual parts of the name from each other. The entries in the Selection column will be used from top to bottom, to make up the directory name. Defining the directory nameIf you want to use a placeholder or a text in the automatically created directory name, select it in the Properties column. Then click the Add >> button, to move this entry into the Selection column. The new directory name will be displayed in the Preview field, check it there. Alternatively, you can also select a placeholder or a text by doubleclicking it. Doubleclick the placeholder or text that you want in the Properties column, to have it set before the selected position in the Selection column. If you no longer want to use a placeholder or a text in the automatically created directory name, select it in the Selection column. Then click the << Remove button. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the order of the placeholders and texts that have been chosen. Editing placeholdersMost placeholders can be configured. Therefore, you can, for example, choose from a number of date or time formats. To configure a placeholder, select the placeholder in the Selection column and click the Modify... button. You can find more information on this topic here. Placeholders are predefined. You can neither create new placeholders, nor delete one that exists. Using fixed textsTexts are fixed and will be used in directory names just as they have been defined. Click the New... button in the Properties group, to define a new text. If possible don't use any special characters for the directory name. Certain special characters, e.g. ? will already not be accepted when you enter them. You can use more than one fixed text in a directory name. That can be useful if, for example, you want to add the name of your department and the description of the sample, to every directory name. Texts can be deleted. To do this, select a text in the Properties column, then click the Delete button. 00220 06022013 |
