Select Object Measurements

Click the Select Object Measurements... button to choose measurement parameters for the individual detected objects. In the Count and Measure Results tool window, select the Object Measurements results view. The measurement parameters chosen for each detected object are shown there.

A large number of measurement parameters are available. Select, for example, the Area measurement parameter, when you want to know how large the individual objects are. You can select the Shape Factor or Sphericity measurement parameters when you want to analyze elongated or round objects.

Select Class Measurements

Click the Select Class Measurements... button to choose measurement parameters for the individual object classes. In this way, you can count the number of objects that fall into one of the classes you have defined.

In the Count and Measure Results tool window, select the Class Measurements results view. The measurement parameters chosen for every class will be shown there.

Click here to switch to a description of the Select Class Measurements dialog box.

Results of ROI measurements

You can limit an automatic image analysis to a certain segment of the image. The analysis will then only be performed on this image segment.

Several class measurements also relate to ROIs. You can determine the area of all objects in a class in relation to the area of the ROI with the Area Fraction ROI measurement parameter, for example.

To do this, select the Show class results per ROI check box. Now the results for this view are displayed separately for each ROI. You can find the check box in the Tools > Options > Measurement and ROI > Results dialog box.

Select ROI Measurements

You can limit an automatic image analysis to a certain segment of the image. The analysis will then only be performed on this image segment.

Click the Select ROI Measurements... to choose measurement parameters for the ROIs. Numerous measurement parameters that apply to these ROIs are available. You can, for instance, count all of the objects that lie within an ROI, or determine the density of the objects in an ROI.

In the Count and Measure Results tool window, select the ROI Measurements results view. The measurement parameters chosen for each ROI will be shown there.

Note: You can also find some of the ROI measurements with the class measurements.
