Click the Text button to insert a text object into the image. You will find this button on the Drawing toolbar. Note: The size of the writing in the drawing layer is fixed in relation to the size of the image. If you display an image with a 50% zoom factor, the font will be correspondingly reduced in size. The text object always lies over the same section of the image. This leads to the problem that, especially with large images, the text in the drawing layer can, depending on the zoom factor used, be difficult to read or illegible, or that a very large area of the image is covered. For large images, it's better to use the Annotations tool window. See also Inserting text1.Click the Text button on the Drawing toolbar. 2.Click the position where you want the top left-hand corner of the text object to be, with the mouse button. 3.While keeping the left mouse button depressed, drag the text object to the desired size. 4.As long as a text object is active, its background will be displayed in white, in order to make the text easy to read while it's being entered. 4.Enter the desired text. •You can write as many lines of text as you want. However, only the lines that are within the text object will be visible. All the lines that do not fit within the text object remain hidden from view. •Your software determines the default font for a new text object. You can subsequently change it as you wish. 5.Click once outside the text object to leave the text-entry mode. 6.The white background will disappear. By default, a text object's background is transparent. This ensures that the text object will cover up as little image information as possible. 6.Then drag the text object to the size you need and format your text. Formatting individual words within a text object1.Doubleclick the text object to switch to the text-entry mode. 2.Select the text that you want to format. 3. Use the Text Color button to set the color for the selected text. 4.Use the Formatting Font toolbar to change the font type and font size of the selected text. 5.Click once outside the text object to leave the text-entry mode. Formatting several text objects simultaneously1.Select several text objects. You can find more information on this topic here. 2.Change the font characteristics (type, size and color), background color and text frame. 3.All of the format settings will be changed for all of the selected text objects simultaneously. Changing the default settings for text objects1.Select a text object 2.Change the font characteristics (type, size and color) to the way you want a text object you insert in the future, to be. 3.Use the Draw > Set As Default For Drawings command.
