Navigation bar for image series (time stack)

An image series will automatically have its own navigation bar directly in the image window. Use this navigation bar to browse through the image series. An image series is, as a rule, a time stack.

Displaying frames

nav_browse

Move the slide control in the navigation bar. The field next to the slide control will always show you which frame is currently on display.

The frames will either be serially numbered in the field next to the slide control, or a special value which corresponds to the frame will be specified. Where a time stack is concerned, this value corresponds to the time at which the frame was acquired. You determine precisely which value will be shown here, in the Frame labeling group located in the Tools > Options > Images > General dialog box.

Animating an image series

Click the Go First bb_goFirst button, to have the first frame in the image series displayed.

Click the Play bb_playanimation button to start the animation with the current settings.

Click the Stop bb_stopanimation button to end the animation. Then the frame at which the animation was stopped will be displayed.

Note: The animation always applies to those frames of the image series that have been selected. Those are, by default, all of the images in the image series. If you only want to animate specific images in the image series, you should select these images before you start the animation.

Browsing through several image series simultaneously

When several image series have been synchronized you can browse through them simultaneously, and in this way easily compare all of the image series with one another. You will find more information on synchronization here.
