If you click the Default button in the Adjust Display tool window, the values set in the options will be applied. Opening the dialog boxTo open this dialog box, use the Tools > Options... command and select the Images > Default Display Settings entry in the tree structure. Note: You do not change the actual image data when you adjust the display. The image will only be displayed differently on your monitor. The settings for the display will be saved along with the image, provided you save the image in the TIF or VSI format. See also Adjust DisplayThe settings in this dialog box apply to the Histogram and Display Enhancement groups in the Adjust Display tool window. Note: When you've changed the default values, click the OK button in the Images > Default Display Settings dialog box to save your values. The software's original values are not lost when a user-defined value is set. You can return to the software's values by clicking the Default button in the Images > Default Display Settings dialog box. Display parametersSpecify an overflow for the Auto Contrast option in the Histogram group. The Left and Right values go into the calculation of the minimum and maximum values. For example, a value of 3%, means that the darkest pixels (where the left overflow is concerned), or the brightest pixels (right overflow) will not be displayed linearly. They are displayed in black or white. Enter the values that you want to specify as default overflow values in the Left and Right fields. Specify the default values for Brightness, Contrast and Gamma in the Display Enhancement group in the Adjust Display tool window. BrightnessMove the Brightness slide control to the right, to make the image brighter. Move the Brightness slide control to the left, to make the image darker. ContrastMove the Contrast slide control to change the contrast values of the image. Values between 50 and 100 increase the image contrast. Values between 0 and 50 decrease the image contrast. At a setting of 50 the image contrast remains unchanged. GammaMove the Gamma slide control to increase the image contrast either in bright image areas or only in dark image areas. You can find more information on the Gamma correction here. 3304 27012014 |
