Use the File > Save command or the [Ctrl + S] keyboard shortcut to save the active document. Saving several documents at the same timeWhen you close documents, you can save several documents at the same time. 1.To do this, select the files you want in the Documents tool window. 2.Use the Close command from the tool window's context menu. •The Unsaved Document dialog box lists the selected documents. •The check box in front of every document has been selected. 3.Click the Save button to save all documents. Saving documents that have been changedWhen you have made changes in a document that you have loaded, you can save these changes by using the File > Save command. You will not have to re-enter the file name and path because the program already has this information. The document will thus simply be re-saved under the same name. The source document will, in the process, be overwritten by the changed document. Should you want to retain the source document, use the File > Save As... command and save the changed document using a different file name. Saving new documentsWhen a document has been newly created, this document will not yet have a file name. The Save command will then automatically open the Save <Document type> As dialog box.
