Toggle Document Layout

Click the Toggle Document Layout button to switch backwards and forwards between a tile view and a single frame view in the document group. You can find these buttons on the Window toolbar.

Single Frame View

In the single frame view all of the loaded documents will be displayed in a single document group. In this way more space is provided on the screen for the image display. When you create a new arrangement for document groups in the single frame view, you will define a new tile view.

In the single frame view, the Toggle Document Layout button appears clicked. You can recognize this status by the button's background color.

Tile View

The tile view is a view in which several document groups are displayed simultaneously. The tile view makes it possible to compare several documents very easily. When you are in the single frame view and click the Toggle Document Layout button, your software switches to the arrangement of document groups that had been set the last time it was used.

The Arrange Documents button on the Window toolbar is an alternative way of switching to tile view. As many of the loaded documents as possible are displayed, in contrast to the Toggle Document Layout button which displays the documents in the last arrangement that was set.

Other ways of getting an overview of the loaded documents.

The Gallery tool window shows thumbnails of all the loaded documents, thus supplying you with a quick visual overview. Should this tool window not be visible, use the View > Tool Windows > Gallery command to show the tool window.
