bb_AutoHide Hiding a tool window automatically

You will find the Enable Auto Hide button in the tool window's header Alternatively, you can also use the Auto Hide command. This command can be found by right clicking on the header of a tool window.

What does Auto Hide mean?

Clicking the Enable Auto Hide bb_AutoHide button will cause the following:

MouseoverZoneThe tool window is minimized. If several tool windows are arranged over each other, all of them will be minimized.

On the edge of your screen a mouseover-zone with the icons of the tool windows will appear. The illustration above is an example of such a mouseover-zone. As soon as you move the mouse pointer over a tool window's icon, the tool window will be displayed and you can use it as usual.

The function of the Enable Auto Hide button will change to Disable Auto Hide bb_AutoHideOn.

 

Turning off Auto Hide mode

A renewed click on the Disable Auto Hide bb_AutoHideOn button will make the tool windows reappear in their original size and positions.

Resetting the layout makes the tool windows reappear in their original positions. With predefined layouts, this turns off the Auto Hide mode. To do so, use the View > Layout > Reset Current Layout command.
