Page Setup - Header/Footer

Use this dialog box to define the header or footer for printing a document, a chart for example. To open this dialog box, use the File > Page Setup... command and select the Images > Header/Footer entry below the document type in the tree structure.

Entering headers or footers

You can enter the desired text for headers/footers in the Header and Footer fields. The kind of font being used will be displayed above each field.

Formatting headers or footers

Click the respective Font... button to format the text in the header or footer. You will always determine the font characteristics for the complete text of the header or footer. This is why individual words in the header or footer cannot be formatted in bold or italics.

Select a font from the Font list.

In the Font Style list choose whether you want the text in normal, bold or italic letters.

Select the font size you want in the Size list.

You can center the header or footer horizontally or vertically in the respective Center group.

Using a placeholder

In addition to simple texts in the respective header/footer, you can also use placeholders, to insert specific document characteristics or details automatically in the texts. You can find more information on placeholders here.
