Using a placeholder |
|
When you use the File > Page Setup... command to define a page layout, you can, in addition to the preset texts, also use placeholders in the corresponding header/footer, to have certain document properties or particulars automatically inserted into the texts. This enables you, for example, to add the name of an image. The placeholders will first be replaced by the text that is then appropriate, when the printout takes place on the printer. Field codes are denoted via the $ (dollar sign), and then set in braces - { } - e.g., ${Name} for the name of a document. When you want to use a placeholder, enter the term ${<Name of the placeholder>} in your header or footer. Placeholders which are of no value will remain blank in the printout. List of the placeholdersThe following placeholders are available: Name: Name of the image or document PrintMag: Magnification of the image on the paper User: Name of the user (network environment) Date: Date the image was created Time: Time the image was created Today: Date of the print out Now: Time of the print out Mag: Total magnification with which the image was acquired. ExampleThe image A0003 was acquired on 21.3.2013. You enter the following text in the header. The image ${Name} was acquired on ${Date}. When the print out is made, the placeholder will be evaluated. In this example the following text will be printed above the image. The image A0003 was acquired on 21.3.2013. 00026 21092012 |
