Copying a complete image

When you want to paste the complete image, use the Image > Duplicate command.

Creating a new image from the clipboard

1.Copy an image segment to the clipboard.

Additional information on copying an image segment can be found here.

2.Use the Edit > Paste As > New Image command or the [Ctrl + E] shortcut.

3.A new image document with the default name "Image_<serial No.>" will be created.

Please note ...

When you paste image segments, please pay attention to the points listed below:

Image types

When you use the Edit > Paste As > New Image command, the image type will remain the same. Therefore, when you copy a segment of a 24-bit true-color image and insert it as a new image, the resulting image will also be a 24-bit true-color image.

icon_tstack Multi-dimensional images are an exception to this rule. In this case, the Paste As > New Image command, always creates a 24-bit true-color image. The image segment will, in this case, always be copied from the frame that is currently on display on your monitor.

Drawing objects

When you copy to the clipboard, drawing objects will not be included in the copy. For this reason, the new image will also not contain any drawing objects.
