Manage <parameter set>

The Manage <parameter set> dialog box can be opened from a variety of tool windows or dialog boxes. Here you can edit parameter sets, and delete or duplicate them.

Available sets

The list of dialog boxes contains all of the parameter sets that have been defined, and that are available to you. In the list, you'll also find some information about the individual parameter sets, e.g., the description that was entered when a new layout was set up.

Additional functions in the dialog box

The Manage <parameter set> dialog box can contain a variety of different functions. This depends on which parameter sets are being managed.

Editing existing parameter sets

Select the parameter set you want to edit in the dialog box's list. With user defined parameter sets, in the Name, Description, and Access fields, buttons with which you can edit the fields will now appear.

bb_copy Duplicating a parameter set

Click this button to copy an already existing parameter set.

bb_delete Deleting a parameter set

You can delete a parameter set that you no longer require, at any time. Select an entry, then click the button with the red cross.

Predefined parameter sets can't be deleted.

Renaming a parameter set

Click the button with the three points [...] in the Name field to be able to edit the parameter set's name.

Predefined parameter sets can't be renamed.

Viewing and changing the description

Click the button with the three points [...] in the Description field to be able to see the selected parameter set's description. Now, you can add to, or edit the description.  

Predefined parameter sets don't have a description.

Please note that it is not possible to enter a description for each parameter set.

Changing the access settings

Click the arrow button in the Access field to open a menu with the two entries Private and Public. Select the setting you want.

Predefined parameter sets are always available for all users.

Saving parameter sets that have been changed

Click the Close button to save the changes that have been made.

Exporting and importing a parameter set

All of an application program's parameter sets can be exported and imported, for example, to make them available to other users or workstations. Click here to learn more about the import and export of parameter sets.
