When focusing your sample, you want to see as many image details as possible. In addition to this, the frame rate in the live-image should be high so that you can see the changes in the live-image immediately while focusing. To start the focus mode, click the Focus Mode button in the Camera Control tool window. In the focus mode, the resolution that is preset for the snapshot is automatically used. At the same time, only a small image segment is read out of the camera. This way, less data is transferred and the live-image is faster. You can freely select the position of the image segment. 1.Click the Focus Mode •If you're not in the live mode, the live-image is automatically turned on. •A blue rectangle is displayed in the image window. The rectangle is labeled Subarray. 2.The Focus Mode button will appear clicked. •To change its position, with the left mouse button depressed, take the frame and drag it into the position you want. Place the rectangle on a part of the sample that is easy to focus on. To change its size, move your mouse pointer over one of its handles. By dragging the marker with the mouse button depressed, you can adjust the frame's size as wished. 2.Move the mouse pointer on the image window, and click the right mouse button to open the context menu. Select the Apply Focus Mode •Now only the selected image segment is displayed in the image window. 4.Use the mouse wheel to change the zoom factor for the live-image. The image is displayed optimally with a zoom factor of 100% in the image window. 5.There are several ways of finishing the focus mode. •Use the Stop Focus Mode command from the image window's context menu. This takes you back to the live mode with the resolution that was set before. The whole image is displayed in the image window again. •Click the Focus Mode •Acquire an image.
