Click the Create Macro button to set up a new macro, You will find this button in the Macro Manager tool window's toolbar. Description of dialog boxAssigning a nameEnter a name for the macro in the Name field. Select a short name with a descriptive meaning, that accurately describes the macro's intended purpose. You will later find this macro under that name in the Macro Manager tool window's list of functions. Note: Macros will be saved in a specific directory for macros in your software. For this reason, no two macros are allowed to have the same name. When you enter a name in this dialog box that already exists, you will receive an error message. Entering a descriptionIn the Screen Tip description field, enter a short description of the macro. You can e.g., define a button for the macro, at a later date. The description will then be displayed when you move your mouse pointer over this button. If you leave this field empty, the name of the macro will be automatically used as brief information. Setting up a macroClick the OK button to set up the macro. When you do this, you will automatically create a file with the file name extension XVM in your software's macro directory. The Macro Manager tool window will then be in the recording mode. Commands you use and the actions you carry out in your software from now on, will be recorded.
