Merge Software Configuration

Use the Tools > Customization > Merge... command to add an already saved software configuration, or parts of it, to your current software configuration.

When is it necessary to merge software configurations?

To merge software configurations makes sense in the following cases:

1.You have received a newer version of your software but want to keep your old user-defined software configuration. Although you can load your original configuration files, you would then not be able to use the new version’s new functions. These functions will only be available to you if you have the newer version’s standard configuration loaded. You can then merge your old version with its own icon bar and menu bar, with the new one.

2.You have different configurations and want to merge a specific configuration with your current version.
