Click the Manual Exposure button to switch backwards and forwards between the manual and the automatic exposure time modes. The button appears pressed in the manual exposure time mode, and so shows you the exposure time mode that is currently active. You can recognize this status by the button's colored background.
You will find this button on the Camera Control toolbar.
 Automatic exposure mode
In the automatic exposure time mode your system will continuously calculate the optimum exposure time for the live-image. When you acquire an individual image, the last exposure time that was calculated in the automatic exposure mode will be used.
In the Camera Control tool window you set how the automatic exposure time is to be calculated.
 Manual exposure mode
In the manual exposure time mode you can freely select the exposure time. Enter an exposure time in the edit field, then press the [Enter] key. Or change the time by using the arrow buttons next to the edit field.
