About your software |

For electron microscopy, the RADIUS software offers many functions for image acquisition and image processing. Main features of your RADIUS softwareAcquiring imagesYou can use your RADIUS software to acquire, process and save high resolution images of a sample in a few steps. During image acquisition, the data from the camera which is mounted on your microscope will be read out and displayed on your computer's monitor. With your RADIUS software, you can make different settings for you camera, for example, shading correction, online sharpen filter, available camera resolutions, exposure times and much more. The live-image is displayed optimally by your software. For difficult parts of the sample, the settings can be easily adjusted to fit your needs. Measuring imagesYou can make various measurements on images. You can measure the length of a line, the perimeter of an ellipse or an angle in degrees, for example. The measurement objects will be displayed in the image's drawing layer, and can be faded in and out. The measurement results will be shown in a sheet and can be differently sorted by a click of your mouse. You can export measurement results, for example, to the XLS format (for further editing in the MS-Excel application program). Additionally, you can carry out a Fourier analysis on your images. This is possible in the live-image and in the acquired images. Processing imagesYou can process the acquired images and retroactively optimize the image quality according to your requirements. Numerous filters and functions are available for this purpose;°various smoothing or sharpness filters and functions to optimize the contrast, for example. As well as this, you can mirror the images and also rotate them through an arbitrary number of degrees. Controlling the microscopeIf your microscope is supported by RADIUS, you can control it directly from the software. You can change the magnification, control the goniometer and lower or raise the fluorescent screen. Additional functions are available, for example, autofocus, astigmatism correction and automatic setting of the Eucentric height. Even if your microscope cannot be supported directly by RADIUS, you can define basic settings, for example, the magnification. This makes sure that your images will be correctly calibrated. Saving documentsImages will, by default, be saved in the TIF or VSI file format. When you save an acquired image in TIF format, a lot of important image information will be automatically saved with it, for example, data concerning the camera used, the exposure time, the resolution, the time of creation, and so on. You can later view this data again whenever you want, simply by opening the image with your software. You do not need to collect this data separately. Different software packagesNote: Not every software package contains all of the features. In order to support differing software requirements, we offer different software packages. Some of the described functions are therefore not relevant to users of a more basic software package. RADIUS comes in a full version and in a desktop version. RADIUS Desktop has all of the functions except those for image acquisition and device control. Particle detection is a feature provided only with the RADIUS Solution Detection. Your RADIUS package may not contain this add-on which is liable to costs. 00812 18022015 |
