Menu - Align or Distribute |
Aligning objectsSelect several drawing objects and use the top commands in the Align or Distribute menu to realign these objects relatively to each other. You will find this command in the Draw > Align or Distribute menu on the Drawing toolbar.
During the realignment, an object that has been grouped will be treated as if it were a single object. The reference object is the one that was last selected. You will recognize it by its gray selection markers, the other objects will be identified by white selection markers. The position of the reference object remains unchanged during all operations. Should you wish to have all of the selected objects aligned along the border of an image, select the Draw > Align or Distribute > Relative to Document Boundary command, before you use one of the commands from the Align or Distribute menu. Distributing objectsSelect at least three drawing objects and use the Distribute Across and the Distribute Down commands to distribute these objects evenly. You will find this command in the Draw > Align or Distribute menu on the Drawing toolbar.
The objects that are nearest to the left and right (top and bottom) margins of the image will not change their position. All of those in between will be evenly distributed. During the realignment, an object that has been grouped will be treated as if it were a single object. Should you wish to have all of the selected objects equally aligned along the border of an image, select the Align or Distribute > Relative to Document Boundary command, before you use one of the commands from the Align or Distribute menu.
