You can cut a rectangular segment out of an image and make a new image out of it. It can be tailored to any size you want. Use the Image > Crop to New Image... command, for example, to cut borders that you do not need, off an image. This reduces the size of your file considerably. A benefit when you save or load an image. Creating a new image from an image section1.Activate the image document that you want to crop. 2.Use the Image Navigator tool window to display the image segment you are interested in the image window. The image segment displayed should contain all of the section you are interested in. 3.Use the Image > Crop to New Image... command. 4.With the left mouse button pressed, outline the image segment that interests you. 5.The segment you have selected will be identified by a red frame. The image segments that are to be cut off will be shown shaded. 5.You can still change the size and position of the image segment at this point. 6.Confirm that this is the image segment you have selected.
