Usually various different devices, such as a camera, a microscope and/or a sample holder, will belong to your system. Use the Acquire > Devices > Device Settings... command to check whether the connected hardware components can be controlled via remote control.
The Device Settings dialog box, lists all of the components in a tree view, on its left hand side. Here, you can find all camera settings, for example.
Hardware components that can't be configured
Not all of the hardware components can be configured. For example, you need not make any settings for the shutter, since it can only be opened and closed. In this case, the Device Settings dialog box will only show a corresponding message.
Hardware components that aren't ready for use
Should a yellow warning icon appear next to the hardware component, this means that the communication with this hardware component is not functioning and it cannot be configured. In this case, the Device Settings dialog box will only show a corresponding message.
