Dialog box - Restore Device State

Before performing certain processes, your software saves the state of your microscope. Before doing an autofocus, an astigmatism correction, or the calibration processes in the Microscope Alignment tool window, the software automatically sets what is called a restore point.

This restore point gives you the option of resetting the microscope to the parameters it had before one of these processes was performed.

Resetting the microscope parameters

1.Use the Acquire > Devices > Restore Device State... command to open the Restore Device State dialog box.

2.The dialog box contains the last processes that were carried out, for which a restore point was set. The date and time that each process was performed are also displayed.

2.Select the process whose parameters you want to restore.

3.Click the Restore button.

4.The parameters that were changed during the Microscope Alignment calibration process, the autofocus, or the astigmatism correction are reset to the state they were in before the process was performed.

Note: If you have reset the Microscope Alignment calibration process, the Microscope Alignment calibration becomes invalid. You have to perform the Microscope Alignment calibration process again in order to be able to perform the autofocus or the astigmatism correction.
